Our Advocacy Work
Championing advocacy, empowerment, education, and inclusive opportunities for Deaf persons and the wider disability community. We work with government institutions, educational bodies, and civil society to eliminate stigma and create pathways to meaningful contribution in nation building.
Policy & Legislation Advocacy
We work with government agencies and policymakers to develop and implement inclusive policies. Our successful courtesy visit to the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) resulted in full endorsement and commitment to supporting our mission of creating a more inclusive society where Deaf persons have equal opportunities to learn, thrive, and contribute to national development.
Sign Language Recognition & Training
Promoting Nigerian Sign Language (NSL) as an official language. We train interpreters, develop educational materials, and advocate for NSL inclusion in education, healthcare, and public services across Nigeria.
Accessibility & Inclusion Initiatives
Making public spaces, digital platforms, and services accessible to the Deaf community and persons with disabilities. We conduct accessibility audits, provide consultation, and implement inclusive design solutions.
Our Impact
Building a society where disability is never a barrier to opportunity. Through advocacy, education, and strategic partnerships with organizations like NCPWD, we are creating meaningful change for the Deaf community and persons with disabilities across Nigeria.
Barr. Nehemiah Danjuma became the first Deaf Lawyer from Northern Nigeria. This milestone is a testament to the limitless possibilities that exist when Persons With Disabilities are empowered to thrive and contribute meaningfully to nation building.
Yagazie didn't just pass through school, he made history there. Medals, trophies, and unforgettable wins in every competition he represented us in. That's the mark of a true legend.
Deaf women possess immense, transformative potential that must be harnessed. We must embrace entrepreneurship and boost our productivity as pathways to self-reliance and economic independence.
